Welcome to the MRI Community

MRI is creating a structured manuscript corpus in which each word can eventually be searched, compared, linked, studied, and used in future research tools. This platform allows registered users to participate in the manuscript transcription process from their own computers while working within a shared, organized review system.

Learn in the Academy

Training and certification opportunities are available and encouraged. Volunteers can develop the knowledge and skills needed to participate confidently in manuscript work.

Serve through the Platform

Volunteers complete high-priority tasks at times that are convenient for them. They may work on an individual manuscript page, a section, a chapter, or a specific transcription.

Preserve through Manuscript Production and Publication

Each contribution supports the transcription, validation, proofreading, and publication of historical manuscripts. Completed work is made available for scholarly study and future research.
